Bondurox Flexible
There was a time when all adhesive manufacturers supplying glues for bonding solid timber flooring, held the firm belief that seasonal swelling and contraction of timber could never be contained due to the huge forces involved. Unsightly ‘peaking, rafting and cupping’ caused by timber movement needed to be dealt with using flexible adhesives and expansion joints. Uroxsys was the first to prove that a high modulus, semi-rigid 1K PU could lock timber in place - even in extreme conditions, and our original Bondurox adhesive has been successfully doing this throughout Australasia for over 20 years.
The range includes best-in-class epoxy moisture barriers (both waterborne and 100% solids) correctly validated using the ‘Calcium Chloride Test’. This guarantees that moisture transfer through a moist concrete slab cannot exceed 15g per square metre over 24hrs - an accepted industry requirement. Another first, recently added to the range is our SL Primer – a fast-drying 1K waterborne ‘tie coat’ primer applied to unsanded VBS moisture barriers. This enables self-levelling cementitious screeds to chemically bond to the moisture barriers.
These products has been marketed by Selleys for many years throughout Australasia under the well-known ‘Direct Stick’ branding.
PLS 180S and PLA 360S
PU Panel Laminating Adhesives available in 180 second and 360 second clamp times. These are low viscosity, high modulus, rapid cure 1K Polyurethanes used in automated lines for the manufacture of EPS and PUR core SIPS and coolstore panels. We typically supply in 1000L foil lined IBC’s, and these well-established products are part of a range of codemarked systems within New Zealand. Due to the short shelf life of these rapid curing products, Uroxsys have a unique proximity to the local market as the sole NZ manufacturer – no receiving imported material with a month of shelf life remaining!
CA Fast, CA Medium, CA Slow
General purpose, high modulus 1K PU construction adhesives. These are primarily supplied in cartridge format with 3 different cure rates. With high strength: 10MPA+, these D4 adhesives have a gel-like consistency. For the user, the key benefit is the excellent through-cure enabling thick glue joints that rapidly harden to the core. This is a big advantage when machining glue-joins, avoiding splatter and wet glue smearing over equipment. The minimal foaming characteristic of this adhesive is a major point of difference with competitor technology ensuring far stronger joins – particularly where some gap filling is needed.
Dvise Range
Pourable PU construction adhesive range available in Fast - 5 minute, and Standard – 30 minute cure. We can also tailor the rate of cure to a specific application.
CA Flexible: Fast, Medium and Slow
New development: A complimentary range to the more rigid CA product line. These 1K adhesives have approximately 8MPa shear strength, and over 100% elongation at break. Values this high are unheard of for flexible adhesives, which generally top out at 2MPa. This technology can also retain full strength in wet conditions. Gel-like consistency with minimal foaming and excellent through cure, giving high strength with some joint movement.
Used for adhering taped seams in artificial turf laying applications, and for finishing work. This is a 1K solvent free flexible PU that gives a range of benefits over existing 2K solvent based, and 1K adhesives used in this market. These include the ability to bond to damp substrates – no waiting for surfaces to dry before starting work, and no requirement for generators on site to run mixers. Highly elastic, yet incredibly tough – seams will not open up. Retains full strength in wet conditions.
Based on our flexible low foam PU technology, this product has changed how the Turflaying industry can plan and manage an installation.
Bondurox C, Bondurox LF, Bondurox CA Range
We have a well-established niche market supplying a variety of our 1K PU adhesives into this sector. These are used to bond car park componentry – wheel stops, judder bars and cat's eyes to concrete and asphalt substrates.
